THE APOTHEKE MUSEUM UNDER THE BLACK EAGLE

The museum occupies the building of the oldest city drugstore, founded in 1735 by a military pharmacologist Notorp. In 1966 a museum of pharmacology was opened here which in 1972 was granted the honorable status of The museum preserves the old interior of the drugstore shop floor, it contains a vast library of ancient medical literature (over 1000 volumes) and pharmaceutical periodicals. You may see a unique collection of drugstore utensils, s of the first tableting hand press equipment, various presses for squeezing the juice out of medicinal herbs,
desiccators, rare collection of meters.

The Museum of History and Country Studies in Vynnyky was established in 1990 on the basis of merging a number of private and half-private collections, materials provided by societies and individual citizens. The funds count up to 14 thousand issues of value. It contains the following departments: archeology, medieval and modern history departments, department of country studies and ethnography department, department of the history of Kholmshchyna, Lemkivshchyna, and Nadsyannya transmigrations.

The Gerdan Gallery has worked since September 1995 in the old XVI century building. The chief direction of its activity is associated with promoting traditional art forms: fine art, graphics, sculpture, glass, ceramics, textiles. Besides individual exhibitions and compiling of the gallery collection Gerdan participates in implementing various art projects.

THE RAVLYK ART GALLERY

The gallery offers fresh works by Lviv artists which havent been displayed before: pictures, tapestries, graphics, batik; applied pieces of ceramics, wood, glass, and metal, embroidery, weaving; interior elements, decorations and clothes.

The Dzyha Art Association was founded in June 1993 by Lviv Student Brotherhood members and prominent artists who gathered around them youth artistic city circles. In May 1997 the association founded a culture and art center Dzyha (207 square meters) in the building of the former Dominicans monastery. It includes Modern Art gallery, acoustic concert hall (120 seats), sales showroom, sound recording studio, internet studio. The center is a member of the European culture centers network, situated in the buildings of historic and architectural monuments.
