THE GEOLOGICAL MUSEUM OF THE LVIV NATIONAL UNIVERSITY

The museum represents rare paleontological exhibits stoned remains of animal and plant world, skeleton fragments, mammoth tusks and teeth (Mykolayiv region), ichthyosauruss skeleton from the Jurassic period (Western Germany).

THE ZOOLOGICAL MUSEUM OF THE LVIV NATIONAL UNIVERSITY

Working hours: from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., days off Saturday and Sunday.
The museum was founded in the 19th century. Today it is among ten top European university museums. You can see the fauna from all continents 35 thousand exhibits about 24 thousand insects, 10 thousand spines, a thousand shellfishes.

THE ACADEMICIAN YEVHEN LAZARENKO MINERALOGICAL MUSEUM

The Academician Yevhen Lazarenko Mineralogical Museum was founded in 1852 1853 by Botany professor Hyacinth Lobazhevskyi. It contains about 14 000 samples of minerals from all over the world.

THE FOLK MUSEUM OF BREAD OF VIRGIN MARYS PROTECTION

With a view to exalting the role of bread in the lives of people who daily grow it with love, The Lviv Motorcar-Road vocational school opened the museum of bread on September 26, 1987. In 1990 it was awarded the status of peoples museum. Today the museum contains over a dozen thematic displays.

The archeological museum of the Ukrainian Studies Institute named after I. Krypyakevych, NAS of Ukraine is situated in the historical building of T. Schevchenko Scholarly Society which in the interwar period used to be occupied with Shevchenko Scholarly Society containing huge collections of archeological materials. Museum exposition was created according to the archeological and artistic-reconstructive methods and counts up to 3 000 exhibits taking 6 halls.

THE MUSEUM OF OLD GRAPHIC TECHNIQUES

The museum is located in the artistic workshop Lithography. You can see the 19th century acting lithographic presses, the unique collection of the 19th century original alpine lithographic stones, letterpress offset printing machine dating back to the beginning of the 20th century, other engraving equipment.

THE METROLOGY AND GAUGE TECHNOLOGY MUSEUM

The Lviv Metrology Museum was founded on the public initiative at Lviv center of standardization, metrology, and certification in 1985. Basis of the fund exposition is made by gauges used by metrological centers in various epochs. This is how the unique collection was formed representing the historical evolution of gauge technologies from the end of the 19th century up to nowadays. Today the fund counts over 500 exhibits, most of which are of extreme rarity.

THE IVAN PANCHYSHYN MUSEUM OF THE HISTORY OF MEDICINE OF HALYCHYNA

The museum was opened in the building of the Ukrainian Medical Society. It counts about 5 thousand exhibits materials in the history of Lviv Historical museum, medical instruments and dishes. You can also have a look round M. Panchyshyns memorial room.

THE FATHER DMYTRO BLAZHEYOVSKYYS MUSEUM OF EMBROIDERED ICONS

Working hours: 10 a.m. 5 p.m. (no lunch hour), except Monday and Tuesday. Free entry.
During his long and interesting life rev. doctor D. Blazheyovskyy embroidered 250 icons, completed a hundred books, founded a new art direction embroidered icon. The museum offers a constant exhibition of embroidered icon wall and other icons, rev. doctor D. Blazheyovskyys gonfalons. Except constant exposition the museum holds meetings, seminars and presentations of the fathers followers.
