Free Lviv guided tour in English

On Sunday 27 September 2009, at 12am, “Inlviv” invites you to join the walking tour in the Lviv city center with our English speaking guide free of charge.

The meeting place is near the main entrance to the Lviv Opera Theatre.
If you plan to join the tour, please confirm by e-mail or by tel. 8032 272 8001, www.inlviv.info.
Our guide will be there with a sign “Tourist Information”.

The tour will take up to three hours and you will see and hear stories about: Rynok square (44 houses, with their unique history), City Hall (endless stairs to the top and at last real satisfaction from the panorama of the city), Pharmacy Museum (the development history of the pharmacy from 18th century), great variety of churches and cathedrals (Dominican Cathedral, Uspenian ensemble, Latin Cathedral, the Boims’ Chapel, Armenian Church, St. Andrew Church), defense structures of the city (arsenal, gun-powder tower, defense wall of the city), cultural heritage (Opera Theatre, Theatre after Maria Zan’kovets’ka).

27 September is celebrated in Lviv as a “Day of Tourism”, so other events in the city can be expected that day.
The entrance to the Town Hall will also be free of charge. Highly recommended!

LVIV tour, I’m planning a month long trip to the Ukraine hopefully out of LVIV and heading along A260 from what I can gather with my info. The reason I ask is that I’m trying to locate 2 villages that were or are along route A260 and the towns were or are called Rodatycze and Czarnoroncy but I beleive these towns have had their names changes to something else some 40 plus years ago. Any chance of you knowing the whereabouts of these towns and or their new names. If you can help, kindly e-mail me back at jayholding@hotmail.com
I’m tyring to research our family tree with the names of Moczulski and Chrobak.
    Thanks.

There is any advice regarding the route Tiszabecs (Hungary)-Chust (Ukraine)-L’viv through the Charpatian Mountains. Could we drive in save conditions by bus? Thank you in advance. Claudiu

    Dear Administrator,
    Thank you for your response.
Could you help us again and advice regarding the route crossing the border at Sighetu Marmatiei (Romania)/Solotvino (Ukraine) through the Carpathian mountains to Ivano Frankivsk. Could we drive in good conditions by bus through this way? How is the road quality and how long does it take? The day after we would like to drive to Lviv. Thank you. Claudiu
